Refineries,
Terminals, and Chemical Manufacturing Facilities
Orion-SurgEx
recognizes that petroleum refineries, bulk storage terminals and
chemical manufacturing plants are very unique and highly sensitive
physical environments that require the most exacting and carefully
maintained safety protocol possible. The modified pneumatic-vac
excavation technology used for Surgical Excavation® is in and of itself
an operational safety protocol. The technology was originally
designed for uncovering buried natural gas and highly sensitive
fiber optic infrastructure, which have an absolute zero tolerance
for impact related accidents. In the refinery environment, the
myriad above-ground mechanical systems alone warrant acutely watchful
maneuvering. Excavating for any reason whatsoever requires precise
movements and concentrated attention. A Surgical Excavation® team can typically
predetermine the exploration or soil removal locations in and
around a refinery or chemical plant , and will position the truck-mounted
power plant in a fixed location. Moving around from dig site to
dig site with non-destructive hoses and pvc cutting and recovery
wands, excavation tools can easily be passed over containment
structures, over or beneath surface piping, around corners and
inside of any limited access perimeter.
